As the year comes to an end, 13F filings for Q3 and Q4 2022 have been submitted, detailing the changes in holdings of top investment funds. The data from the filings of Conservest Capital Advisors, Inc. show a mixed picture, with some holdings experiencing significant growth, while others lost value.
The largest holding of the fund, "SPDR S&P 500 ETF TR," experienced a slight decrease of 1,128 shares. However, its value increased by 6.2%, from $93,840,000 to $99,660,000, in the same period. Another top holding, "SELECT SECTOR SPDR TR," also experienced a loss in shares, with a decrease of 3,988 shares, but its value increased by 11.4%, from $66,011,000 to $73,503,000.
On the other hand, some holdings in the fund saw significant growth during this period. "ISHARES TR"'s "DGRO" and "IEFA" holdings increased by 29.1% and 15.6%, respectively, in terms of shares. Meanwhile, their values rose by 34% and 12.6% respectively, from $25,896,000 to $33,424,000, and from $31,309,000 to $36,188,000.
Investments in the healthcare sector, such as "SELECT SECTOR SPDR TR" and "JOHNSON & JOHNSON," also saw significant growth. The former's XLV holdings increased by 16,012 shares that resulted in an increase in value by 11.5%, from $43,208,000 to $48,169,000. While the latter's stake also grew by 4 shares, increasing its value by 8.4%, from $308,000 to $333,000.
However, some holdings of the fund experienced a sharp decrease in value. "AMAZON COM INC" shares dropped by 1,213, which caused a loss in value by 36%, from $559,000 to $357,000. Another significant loss was seen in "VANGUARD WORLD FDS" "IYW" holdings. They decreased by 9,197 shares, resulting in a loss of value by 34.7%, from $2,095,000 to $1,367,000.
Moreover, "ISHARES INC"'s "EMB" investments experienced a 436.7% increase in shares, but its value only increased by 436.7%, from $933,000 to $5,007,000. Based on these figures, it is clear that it is important to focus on both shares' count and market value when analyzing investment portfolios.
In conclusion, despite some losses, the data from Conservest Capital Advisors, Inc.'s Q3 and Q4 2022 13F filings show significant growth in some holdings, particularly those in the healthcare sector and "ISHARES TR." At the same time, investment funds must remain mindful of their investment strategies, analyzing both share count and market value to ensure their returns align with their objectives.
