Based in New York, Hurowitz will be working closely with Lee LeBrun, Head of Global Advisory, North America, and Warner Mandel, Global Co-Head of Technology, Media, and Telecoms. Prior to joining Rothschild & Co, Hurowitz served as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Octavian & Company, a boutique global investment firm that collaborates with leading investors and executives on transactions. He also held the position of Chief Investment Officer at Octavian Advisors, an international special situations fund managing over $1.4 billion, which was later acquired by TPG, a private equity firm. Hurowitz's background also includes a partnership at Halcyon Asset Management and serving as a board member at various notable organizations.
Hurowitz's qualifications extend beyond his professional career. He is a strategic adviser to the Electrum Group and previously served as a senior adviser to TPG Sixth Street Partners. Furthermore, he sits on the governing board of the Yale University Art Gallery and is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Hurowitz holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. in History from Yale University.
