Analyzing Horizon Investment's Q3 2022 vs. Q4 2022 13F Holdings Report

Horizon Investment Services, LLC recently released its Q3 2022 vs. Q4 2022 13F Holdings comparison report, which detailed changes in the holdings of the fund. The report showed that the fund made significant changes to its holdings, with some stocks seeing an increase in shares held and others seeing a decrease.
The report revealed that the fund lowered its holdings in VCSH, an ETF that tracks the performance of the short-term, investment-grade fixed-income securities in the U.S. This holding was reduced by 30.3% as it went from 145,116 shares in Q3 2022 to 99,960 shares in Q4 2022.
AAPL, on the other hand, was one of the stocks that saw a decrease in shares held as the fund went from holding 62,149 shares in Q3 2022 to 60,802 in Q4 2022. This represents an 8% decrease in shares held.
UNH, which is a diversified health care company, saw a slight decrease in shares held as the fund went from 12,485 shares in Q3 2022 to 12,435 shares in Q4 2022, a 4.5% decrease.
The fund also decreased its holdings in MSFT, a well-known software company, as it went from 24,997 shares in Q3 2022 to 24,568 shares in Q4 2022, a 1.2% decrease.
In contrast, the fund raised its holdings in TMO, a company that provides scientific research services and products. The fund went from holding 10,103 shares in Q3 2022 to 9,768 shares in Q4 2022, representing a 5% increase.
CB, an insurance company, saw an increase in shares held as the fund went from 19,531 shares in Q3 2022 to 19,447 shares in Q4 2022, a 20.8% increase.
As for LRCX, which provides wafer fabrication equipment and services, the fund raised its holdings in the company by 12.6%. The fund held 9,815 shares in Q3 2022 and then 9,625 shares in Q4 2022.
The report also showed that the fund reduced its holdings in GOOGL, which is the parent company of Google, by 9.5% as the number of shares went down from 44,659 in Q3 2022 to 45,756 shares in Q4 2022.
