Great Hill Partners Welcomes Atle Skalleberg as Executive-in-Residence

Great Hill Partners, a private equity firm known for its investments in high-growth, disruptive companies, is pleased to announce the addition of Atle Skalleberg as an Executive-in-Residence. With his extensive experience in the eCommerce industry, Mr. Skalleberg will collaborate with Great Hill to identify and pursue investment opportunities within the global travel industry, as well as other businesses with direct-to-consumer or marketplace business models.

Mr. Skalleberg brings nearly two decades of expertise as an eCommerce operator to Great Hill. In his most recent role as an Operating Partner at Digital Fuel Capital, an eCommerce-focused private equity firm, he played a pivotal role in evaluating new investment opportunities while working closely with various portfolio companies. Notably, Mr. Skalleberg served as the Interim CEO of StubHub International, a leading provider of secondary market tickets for sports and music. Prior to that, he held positions such as COO and Chief Digital Officer of Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX: FLT), a renowned Australia-based travel company with an annual total transaction value of approximately A$20 billion.

During his tenure at Flight Centre, Mr. Skalleberg spent over a decade with StudentUniverse, one of the largest online travel agencies for students globally. He ascended to the roles of CEO and Chairman of the Board, leading the company through its acquisition by Flight Centre. Additionally, Mr. Skalleberg serves as an advisor to numerous growth companies and holds a director position at Collette, a global leader in world travel and escorted tours. His educational background includes an undergraduate degree from BI Norwegian Business School, a graduate degree from Boston University, and Executive Education from MIT.
