TREND Health Partners Acquires Advent Health Partners
Gracie Gottlieb | 15 December, 2023
TREND Health Partners, a leading provider of healthcare credit balance management and payment accuracy solutions, has announced its acquisition of Advent Health Partners, Inc. This strategic combination solidifies TREND's position as a top AI-driven payment accuracy and revenue integrity platform for healthcare payers and providers.
Founded in 2010, Advent Health Partners has developed CAVO®, its proprietary technology platform, which uses artificial intelligence to streamline the review of medical records in revenue cycle and payment integrity processes. Like TREND, Advent's solutions aim to improve reimbursement accuracy and reduce administrative costs while promoting collaboration and transparency between payers and providers.
The addition of Advent's complementary solution offering and technology capabilities will enable TREND to deliver even greater value to its payer and provider clients by integrating clinical and non-clinical data and analytics into a single platform. With the acquisition, the combined company will serve more than 50 health plans and nearly 1,000 hospitals.
Sarah Armstrong, CEO of TREND, expressed excitement about the complementary capabilities and aligned visions of TREND and Advent. CAVO® will allow TREND to extend its existing platform, TRENDConnect, and further address challenges faced by payer and provider clients. Mark Thienel, CEO of Advent, also expressed pride in the accomplishments of the Advent team and the value they have delivered to clients, stating that the partnership with TREND will build upon that legacy.
To support the acquisition, Lone View Capital, TREND's first institutional investor, has provided a follow-on investment. Lone View Capital is a growth-oriented private equity firm that invests across the technology ecosystem.
The acquisition was supported by OM Partners, LLC as the exclusive financial advisor to Advent, and Barnes & Thornburg LLP as legal counsel. William Blair & Company served as the financial advisor, and Holland & Knight LLP served as legal counsel to TREND.
