2023 was a remarkable year for Asante Capital Group, a leading independent private equity placement and advisory group. Despite the challenging fundraising environment, Asante continued its success by supporting 43 fund closes worldwide, surpassing their targets in various sectors. The group's achievements include closing funds such as Equip Capital II, Gemspring Capital Fund III, Norvestor IX SCSp, and Whitehorse Fund V. Moreover, Asante raised over $2 billion USD from the APAC region, solidifying its global presence.
In addition to their fundraising success, Asante experienced significant internal growth, with the promotion of five new managing directors and the expansion of its global team to over 70 professionals. The Munich and Hong Kong offices doubled in size, and a new team was established in Los Angeles, further connecting GPs from different markets with capital sources worldwide.
Asante also strengthened its secondaries offerings, advising on successful fund closes for Maguar Continuation Fund I and BPOC's first continuation fund.
