New Generation Advisors, LLC Q2 2020 vs. Q3 2020 13F Holdings Comparison

Investors are always on the lookout for changes in holdings of funds as it gives them an idea of the overall market activity, especially if they track the top institutional investors' 13F filings. Recently, New Generation Advisors, LLC filed its 13F form with the SEC, and the data reveals a few significant changes in their holdings from Q2 2020 to Q3 2020.
One of the most notable changes is their increased stake in Cornerstone Building Brands Inc (CNR), which moved up by 38.5% from 575,746 to 605,746 shares. Another change is their investment in Civio Corp, which also saw an increase of 34.2% from 3,723,002 to 4,563,702 shares.
On the flip side, the fund's holding in Amplify Energy (AMPY) saw a sharp decline of 34.3% from 391,379 to 370,399 shares, while their stake in EPR Properties (EPR) dropped by 17% from 80,000 to 80,000 shares.
New Generation Advisors, LLC also reduced its holdings in Ambac Financial Group, Inc (AMBC) by 10.8% from 226,769 to 226,769 shares. Interestingly, their investment in National CineMedia Inc (NCMI) also fell by 8.6%, moving from 973,281 to 973,281 shares.
Other companies in which the investment fund decreased its holdings during the quarter include P G & E Corp (PCG), which saw a reduction of - 47.2%, SandRidge Energy, Inc (SD), which saw a decrease of -28 %, and EPR Properties (EPR), which saw a decrease of 17%.
Despite the reduction in holdings for some popular public companies, the fund also invested in a few new public companies like Silvebow Resources Inc (SBOW), which moved up by 22.4% from 148,724 to 148,724 shares. They also invested in Cumulus Media Inc (CMLS), which moved up by 35.9%, from 192,450 to 192,450 shares.
Finally, there were a few companies where holdings were completely sold out. The fund's investment in Intelsat S.A. (INTEQ) and Battalion Oil Corp (BATL) saw decrease of -100%, moving from 601,142 to 0 shares and 9,456 to 0 shares, respectively.
In conclusion, the SEC filing from New Generation Advisors, LLC reveals a lot about the fund's investment strategy. Investors need to keep an eye out for these changes in holdings to stay ahead of market moves and make sound investment decisions to increase their portfolio's value.
