AE Industrial Partners Promotes Three Senior Leaders to Managing Partner

AE Industrial Partners, LP, a private equity firm specializing in aerospace, national security, and industrial services, has announced the promotion of Charlie Compton, Kirk Konert, and Jon Nemo to Managing Partner. These appointments, effective immediately, expand the Managing Partnership to five members.
“Charlie, Kirk, and Jon have played critical roles in guiding our strategy as members of our Investment Committee, and we are excited to have them join the firm’s executive leadership team,” said David Rowe, Managing Partner of AEI. “As our organization continues to evolve, we believe strongly in building from within, and these promotions underscore that commitment. We look forward to tapping their leadership, market insight, and investing experience as we drive the firm’s next phase of growth.” AEI’s Managing Partners include David Rowe and Michael Greene in addition to the three newly appointed members.
Charlie Compton, who joined AEI in 2014, primarily focuses on commercial aerospace, business aviation, and industrial services investments. Mr. Compton joined the firm’s Investment Committee in 2021 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the firm’s portfolio companies AIM MRO, Blue Raven Solutions, G.S. Precision, Kellstrom, and Moeller Aerospace. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.
Kirk Konert, who joined AEI in 2014, primarily focuses on the space, defense, and government services sectors. Mr. Konert currently serves on the Board of Directors of the firm’s portfolio companies Belcan, BigBear.ai, Calca Solutions, Columbia Helicopters, Firefly Aerospace, Redwire, ThayerMahan, and York Space Systems. Mr. Konert joined the firm’s Investment Committee in 2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Davidson College.
Jon Nemo joined AEI and the firm’s Investment Committee in 2016. Mr. Nemo primarily focuses on investments in commercial aerospace, business aviation, and defense. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the firm’s portfolio companies AIM MRO, Alpine Air, Applied Composites, The Atlas Group, Blue Raven Solutions CDI Engineering Solutions, and Yingling Aviation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan.
