Analyzing Perennial Advisors' Q3 vs. Q4 2022 Holdings Changes: Microsoft, Apple, and Honeywell Among Top Movers

Perennial Advisors, LLC recently released their 13F holdings report for Q3 and Q4 of 2022, which provides insight into the changes made by the firm's investment team in their portfolio. The report reveals that some big moves were made during the period, including significant changes to positions in Microsoft, Apple, and Honeywell.

Microsoft was a top holding for Perennial Advisors, with 68,213 shares in Q3 2022, but this figure decreased slightly to 67,211 in Q4 2022. However, despite the dip in shares, the value of the holdings increased by 1.5%, from $15,887,000 to $16,118,000.

Apple Inc. also saw a significant decrease in shares, dropping from 125,025 to 120,940 between Q3 and Q4 2022. This decrease in shares resulted in a drop in the value of their holdings, falling by 9.1% to $15,713,000.

Honeywell International Inc. was a standout mover for Perennial Advisors, with the investment team increasing their stake in the company by 23.2%. The firm held 40,352 shares in Q3 2022, which increased to 38,726 shares in Q4 2022. This increase in shares led to an increase in value from $6,738,000 to $8,298,000.

Other notable movers included Activision Blizzard Inc., Mastercard Incorporated, Johnson & Johnson, and Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Activision Blizzard saw an increase of 3.6% in shares held, while Mastercard went up by a significant 16.8%. Johnson & Johnson saw a slight decrease in shares, falling by 6.7%, while Thermo Fisher Scientific only saw a small decrease of 0.8% in shares.

One area that saw a general decline in shares was the gold sector, with SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) falling by 2.2%, and iShares Trust (SHV) decreasing by 6.3%. Other notable decreases include ProShares Trust (PGX), which saw a decrease of 48.9%, and Popular Inc. (BPOP), which fell by 34.1%.

Overall, it's clear that Perennial Advisors' investment team made some significant moves during the period, with some top holdings seeing decreases in shares while others saw increases. It will be interesting to see how these changes play out in the longer term and whether the investment team's strategy pays off in the future.
