Synchrony Financial (SYF): Cooke & Bieler sold off 59,000 shares of Synchrony Financial, a 2.4% reduction in its holding. The stock now represents 1.46% of the portfolio. Synchrony Financial is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, United States.

Conclusion

Although there were some winners in the portfolio, the majority of changes made by Cooke & Bieler in Q4 2022 were to reduce holdings in various stocks. The reduction of Arch Capital and Perrigo Co were the largest changes, and both companies now represent a much smaller percentage of the overall portfolio.
