Investment Firm Jordan Park Group LLC Reveals Q3 vs. Q4 2022 13F Holdings

Ava Hoppe | 9 May, 2023

Investment firms are required by law to submit a quarterly Form 13F to the SEC, disclosing their holdings in publicly traded securities. Jordan Park Group LLC is one such company, and their third and fourth quarter 2022 filings have revealed some interesting changes in their holdings.

One of the top performers in terms of percentage increase was GraniteShares Gold Trust (BAR), with a jump of 8.9% in value from Q3 to Q4. Kraneshares Trust was another significant gainer, rising by 7.6% in holdings during the same period.

However, not all stocks had such positive outcomes. Vanguard Scottsdale Funds (VGIT) saw a decrease in holdings by 15.6%, while iShares Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) fell by a staggering 42.1%.

Putting specific holdings aside, Jordan Park Group LLC's total assets under management (AUM) at the end of Q4 2022 was $3.29 billion, up from $3.05 billion in Q3.

So what do these changes in holdings tell us? Well, it's important to remember that just because one investment firm is buying or selling certain stocks, it doesn't necessarily indicate market trends or the performance of individual companies. Each firm has its own investment strategy and objectives, and portfolio managers may make decisions based on a variety of factors, including market conditions, long-term outlook, and risk tolerance.

In the case of Jordan Park Group LLC, perhaps their increased holdings in Kraneshares Trust and GraniteShares Gold Trust reflect a positive outlook on the future of precious metals and commodity investing. Likewise, their decreased holdings in VGIT and TLT could signify a shift away from long-term government bonds and treasuries.

It's certainly interesting to see how the portfolio of a successful investment firm evolves over time, and Jordan Park Group LLC's Q3 vs. Q4 2022 13F filings offer a glimpse into their investment strategy. But as with any investment decision, it's important to do your own research and consider your individual financial goals and risk tolerance.
