Investment Firm Vista Equity Partners' Q3-Q4 2022 Holdings Snapshot

Vista Equity Partners Management, LLC recently filed its Q3 and Q4 2022 13F reports with the SEC. With investments in leading technology companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, and Shopify, Vista's holdings are closely monitored by analysts and investors.
One of Vista's top holdings, Cvent Holdings Corp, remained unchanged with 397,745,049 shares in both Q3 and Q4, although its value increased by 2.9%. Meanwhile, Powerschool Holdings Inc saw a 38.3% increase in value, with Q4 shares remaining the same at 75,413,862. Integral Ad Science Holding Co's value increased by 21.4%, with both Q3 and Q4 reporting 94,380,001 shares.
KnowBe4 Inc experienced steady growth, with a 19.1% increase in the number of shares held at 16,432,960. Lightspeed Commerce Inc saw a decrease of 18.7% in value, despite having the same number of shares in both Q3 and Q4 at 1,361,872.
One significant change was Palo Alto Networks Inc, which saw a 42.1% decrease in value and a decrease in shares held from 186,318 in Q3 to 126,551 in Q4. CyberArk Software Ltd also saw a decrease in shares held, going from 184,224 in Q3 to 160,635 in Q4, representing a decrease of 24.6%.
Interesting to note, SentinelOne Inc experienced a significant decrease in Q4, with shares dropping from 1,620,364 to 462,566, and value plummeting by 83.7%. This drop in shares and value marks one of the most significant changes in Vista's portfolio between the two quarters. Similarly, Five9 Inc and Datadog Inc experienced declines of 77.9% and 71%, respectively.
Despite some declines, several of Vista's holdings continued to show strong gains. Guidewire Software Inc experienced a 108.2% increase in the number of shares held, with shares increasing from 92,062 to 188,626. Toast Inc also saw Q4 shares increase to 273,385, resulting in a 4.9% increase in value.
It is vital to remember that these filings provide a snapshot of a company's holdings at a specific point in time and may not represent the entirety of their portfolio or current holdings. Additionally, it is essential to consider other factors, such as market trends and economic conditions. Nonetheless, Vista's 13F filings provide valuable insights into the current market conditions, investor confidence, and where investment firms are putting their money.
