Investors always want to be updated with the latest changes in their favorite funds' investment holdings. For instance, they will want to know if Vanguard has increased their stake in a popular stock or if Schwab is now betting big on a particular industry. Luckily, financial firms file their 13F holdings report each quarter, detailing the changes in their financial holdings.

One such company that has recently filed their Q4 2022 vs. Q1 2023 13F Holdings Comparison report is JMG Financial Group, Ltd. For investors and enthusiasts alike, this report provides insight into the firm's investments and their outlook for different sectors. Let's take a closer look at the report and its findings.

Firstly, Vanguard has been one of the busiest funds, making changes in their portfolio. Their S&P 500 ETF (VOO) and Mid Cap Vipers (VO) both saw increases in shares between Q4 2022 and Q1 2023. VOO's share count rose from 1,236,875 to 1,268,241, while VO's rose from 1,129,271 to 1,141,722. Along with these additions, the Vanguard MSCI EAFE ETF (VEA) also saw an increase in shares, from 4,937,461 to 5,001,374.

Schwab also made significant changes to their portfolio. Their U.S. Large Cap ETF (SCHX) saw an increase in shares from 2,839,728 to 2,907,036. Meanwhile, the Schwab U.S. Mid Cap ETF (SCHM) added 10,157 and the Schwab International Equity ET (SCHF) added 111,182 shares to its portfolio.

On the other hand, Dimensional Fund Advisors' US Small Cap Value (DFSV) had a significant decrease in shares, going from 3,736,621 shares in Q4 2022 to 4,269,488 shares in Q1 2023. Similarly, Vanguard Small Cap Value (VBR) saw a reduction in shares from 182,130 to 143,151, a percentage change of -21.4%.

It's interesting to note that although Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) saw a decrease in shares, it's overall value rose slightly, potentially due to the company's stock soaring in the early months of 2023. In contrast, Apple Inc (AAPL) has a higher share count, however, its value increase wasn't as much in comparison.

Overall, JMG Financial Group, Ltd.'s Q4 2022 vs. Q1 2023 13F Holdings Comparison provides investors with valuable insights into how various funds are investing in different sectors. These changes in holdings often provide clues about the industry outlook and the analysts' predictions for future growth.
