Patricia Melcher Joins NOV Inc. Board of Directors, Bringing Decades of Energy Investing Experience

Ms. Melcher, currently a Managing Partner of EIV Capital, brings extensive experience in oilfield services and sustainable energy investing to the role. As an energy-focused private equity firm co-founder, Ms. Melcher has played a pivotal role in the success of EIV Capital since its establishment in 2009. Her expertise in capital allocation and governance will be invaluable as she joins the NOV board. Prior to co-founding EIV Capital, Ms. Melcher founded Allegro Capital Management in 1997. The investment firm specialized in equity investments in energy companies and provided consulting services. During her time at Allegro, Ms. Melcher also served as interim Chief Executive Officer for Petrocom Energy Group from 2003 to 2004. Ms. Melcher's energy business experience spans more than 35 years. She began her career as an investment banker for Simmons & Company International in 1986. Later, she joined SCF Partners to focus on private equity investments in the oilfield services sector. Throughout her tenure at SCF Partners, Ms. Melcher held positions of increasing responsibility. Educationally, Ms. Melcher holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. She furthered her studies at Harvard University, earning a Master of Business Administration degree. With the addition of Ms. Melcher, the Board of Directors at NOV Inc. now consists of nine directors, eight of whom are independent members.
