Ava Hoppe | 3 May, 2023

Investors are always curious about how their favorite funds are performing. One of the ways to measure success is by analyzing the fund’s holdings. Recently, Serenity Capital LLC released its 13F filings for Q1 2022 and Q2 2022, giving investors an insight into how their investments are doing.

A 13F filing is a quarterly report that institutional investment managers, with assets of $100 million or more, are required to submit to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). These reports disclose the fund’s holdings, including its shares, the issuer's name, the option type, and the value.

In Q1 2022, Serenity Capital LLC held no shares in ZTO Express Cayman Inc, one of its top holdings. However, in the next quarter, the fund sold all its shares, resulting in a 100% reduction. Similarly, the fund had 869,426 shares in Huazhu Group Ltd in Q1 2022, but it sold all its shares in Q2, leading to a 100% decrease.

Another holding that saw a similar fate is the Bright Scholar Ed Hldgs Ltd. In Q1 2022, Serenity Capital LLC held 1,774,238 shares worth $1,065,000. However, in Q2 2022, the fund sold all its shares, resulting in a 100% decrease in holdings.

While Serenity Capital LLC sold its shares in some holdings, it also increased its stakes in others. One such example is Palantir Technologies Inc, in which the fund increased its shares by 123.14%, from 825,600 in Q1 2022 to 1,842,200 in Q2 2022.

The fund also added new holdings in Q2 2022, such as AppFolio Inc and Vuzix Corp. In Q2 2022, Serenity Capital LLC held 66,368 shares worth $2,363,000 in AppFolio Inc. Similarly, in Vuzix Corp, the fund bought 28,233 shares worth $388,000.

In conclusion, Serenity Capital LLC made some significant changes to its holdings in Q2 2022 compared to the previous quarter. While the fund sold all its shares in some holdings, it also increased its stakes in other holdings, added new positions, and removed holdings. Investors must keep an eye on these changes and make informed decisions based on the fund's current performance.
