Gracie Gottlieb | 7 September, 2023

The Promise Homes Company, a leading manager of institutional-quality, single-family residential rental homes in the United States, has announced the expansion of its leadership team. The company has added four new positions to support its continued growth and commitment to providing quality, affordable homes and financial programming for residents, as well as benefiting investors and communities.

Jake Keating has been named Head of Strategy & Investments and promoted to Senior Vice President. With a background in corporate development, he will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, sourcing and executing investments, and managing capital markets activities. Keating previously served as a senior member of the Acquisitions & Capital Markets team at Front Yard Residential, where he focused on expanding the company’s affordable single-family rental portfolio.

Randall Mason is now Head of Operations and Property Management, overseeing the building and launching of Promise Homes' internal Property Management team. With over 25 years of experience in residential housing, capital markets, and asset management, Mason will play a key role in optimizing property operations. Prior to joining Promise Homes, he was part of the senior management team at Front Yard Residential.

Erick Wilson has joined Promise Homes as Head of Finance, bringing nearly two decades of financial experience to the company. He will be responsible for overseeing corporate accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. Wilson previously held positions at Ernst & Young's Real Estate, Hospitality, and Construction practice, where he served publicly-traded REITs and private equity real estate funds.

Nylah Oliver has been appointed as Head of Resident Engagement & Social Impact, focusing on improving the residential experience and empowering the communities where Promise Homes invests. She leads the company's innovative Minority Vendor Program, which contracts with minority- and women-owned businesses for repair, turn, and maintenance jobs. Before joining Promise Homes, Oliver worked on social sustainability projects for Jones Lang LaSalle and served as a Corporate Social Responsibility & Communications Fellow at UPS.

The expansion of the leadership team aligns with Promise Homes' strategic plan to become a leading manager of affordable single-family residential rental homes in the U.S. with a focus on resident and community financial empowerment. The company aims to provide quality housing and financial literacy education to its residents, helping them improve credit scores and transition from renters to homeowners.

Currently, The Promise Homes Company manages a portfolio of approximately 640 homes in Georgia and Florida. Through its partnership with Operation HOPE, the company offers free financial literacy education and credit counseling to residents. Additionally, Promise Homes provides financial incentives to help residents pay rent, build credit, and obtain mortgage commitments.

Furthermore, Promise Homes is committed to supporting local, minority- and women-owned businesses through its Minority Vendor Program. The company ensures that 50% of its repair, turn, and maintenance jobs are performed by these businesses, creating sustainable jobs and economic opportunities within the communities it serves.

John Hope Bryant, Founder, and Chairman of The Promise Homes Company expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by the expanded leadership team. He emphasized the company's commitment to both affordable housing and resident and community financial empowerment.

Established in 2017, The Promise Homes Company is a prominent minority-led manager of institutional-quality, single-family residential rental properties. Its focus on working-class and middle-class communities sets it apart in the industry. The company not only provides affordable housing but also contracts with local, minority-owned businesses for property maintenance, promoting economic growth in the communities it operates.
