In this blog post, we'll be taking a closer look at USAdvisors' Q4 2022 vs. Q1 2023 13F holdings comparison, breaking down changes in holdings and values across the firm's portfolio.

First, let's take a look at the top five holdings by value held by USAdvisors in Q4 2022. The SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF IV (SPLG) tops the list with $12,581,000 in value. Next up is the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) with $9,139,000 in value. The SPDR Aggregate Bond ETF IV (SPAB) comes in third with $7,107,000, followed by the iShares Core S&P US Value ETF (IUSV) with $7,276,000 in value. Rounding out the top five is the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF IV (MGK) with $6,956,000 in value.

Looking at the holdings comparison between Q4 2022 and Q1 2023, we see a number of changes across these top holdings. The QQQ saw the largest increase in shares held, with USAdvisors holding 35,498 shares at the end of Q1 2023, up from 34,320 shares in Q4 2022. This led to a corresponding increase in value, with the QQQ's value rising from $9,139,000 to $11,393,000, representing a 24.7% increase. The SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF IV saw a decrease in both shares held and value, down 2.1% and 1.9%, respectively. The SPAB and IUSV both saw relatively modest increases in shares held and value, while the MGK saw a small increase in value but a significant decrease in shares held, down 14.3%.

Digging a bit deeper into USAdvisors' holdings, we see a number of other interesting trends. For example, the SPDR Portfolio Developed World Ex-US ETF (SPDW) saw a 4.4% decrease in both shares held and value, while the Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) saw a 0.5% decrease in shares held and a 0.5% decrease in value. The iShares MSCI ACWI ETF (ACWI), on the other hand, saw a 2.1% increase in both shares held and value.

Other holdings in USAdvisors' portfolio saw larger swings in value. For example, the SPDR Blackstone Senior Loan ETF IV (SRLN) saw a significant decrease in value, down 16.3%, while the ISHS MSCI INTL QUALITY FACT ETF (IQLT) saw a significant increase in value, up 17.9%. The First Trust TCW Opportunistic FI ETF (FIXD) also saw a significant decrease in value, down 3.2%.

There were a few holdings that saw no change in shares held but a significant increase in value. These include the Vanguard Industrials ETF IV (VIS), up 7.9%, and the iShares Russell 1000 Growth ETF IV (IWF), up 16.2%. The SPDR Portfolio S&P 400 Mid CP ETF IV (SPMD) was the only holding to see a decrease in both shares held (-10.8%) and value (-7.7%).
