One standout statistic from the report was the 5.4% increase in Wayfair Inc shares, jumping from 3.5 million in Q3 to 3.65 million in Q4, along with a corresponding rise in value. Meanwhile, Colliers Intl Group Inc remained unchanged with 1 million shares held in both quarters, with only a 0.3% increase in value moving into Q4.
Another notable change occurred within the portfolio of AppLovin Corp. In Q3, Spruce House held 3,740,801 shares, but in Q4 they had increased their position to 5,000,000 shares. However, AppLovin's value fell by 27.8%, from $72,908,000 to $52,650,000.
Carvana Co also saw a significant change in Spruce House's holdings, increasing from 6,550,000 shares in Q3 to 10,000,000 shares in Q4. However, the value of these shares dropped dramatically by 64.4%, from $132,965,000 to just $47,400,000.
One of the most significant changes in the report was the complete divestment of Spruce House's holdings in Sportradar Group AG and Global E Online Ltd. In Q3, Spruce House held 3.5 million shares in Sportradar Group AG with a value of $30,800,000, and 2,047,005 shares in Global E Online Ltd worth $54,778,000. However, in Q4, Spruce House's holding in these companies was reduced to zero.
Overall, the Q3 vs. Q4 2022 13F holdings comparison report showed that Spruce House Investment Management LLC made some significant changes in its portfolio over the last quarter, with some increases and decreases in the number of shares held and the corresponding values.
