Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: AITC Welcomes SBA Director and Congressmen for a Special Visit
Gracie Gottlieb | 29 September, 2023
Advanced IT Concepts (AITC) LLC, a leading provider of technology solutions to defense and federal agencies, recently hosted a special visit to mark the observance of Hispanic Heritage Month. The distinguished guests in attendance included Small Business Administration (SBA) Director Isabella Casillas Guzmán, Congressmen Darren Soto and Maxwell Frost. This visit not only highlighted AITC's success as a Hispanic-owned business but also showcased the company's contribution to advancing technology solutions in the defense and federal sectors.
During the visit, the esteemed officials had the opportunity to witness the innovative work taking place at AITC and recognize the exceptional achievements of Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Gabriel Ruiz, the Founder of AITC. Mr. Ruiz is a renowned entrepreneur and military leader in the realm of Information Technologies, Cyber Security, and Simulation Systems, hailing from Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He shared his impressive journey, emphasizing that AITC's achievements are not only realistic but also repeatable.
Mr. Ruiz also acknowledged the crucial role played by the SBA, its team, and various programs in helping AITC reach its success. He highlighted organizations like the University of Central Florida (UCF) Incubator and the Orlando Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF, which have positively impacted AITC over the years. Mr. Ruiz shared with Administrator Casillas Guzmán how these organizations contributed to AITC's growth and transformation.
Furthermore, Mr. Ruiz discussed AITC's expansion to Puerto Rico and its focus on assisting the Puerto Rican government in implementing modern and smart technologies, as well as cybersecurity solutions. AITC aims to leverage federal funds earmarked for the reconstruction and modernization of key systems and infrastructure in Puerto Rico. He invited Congressmen Soto and Frost, along with Administrator Casillas Guzmán, to continue their efforts in supporting the people of Puerto Rico.
AITC's commitment to excellence and innovation has earned them recognition. In August 2023, AITC was honored with the prestigious title of SBA 8(a) Graduate of the Year for 2023 in both the Region IV District and the North Florida Region. This recognition further showcases AITC's impact as a success story for Hispanic-owned businesses.
AITC's mission extends beyond the United States, with efforts in several countries worldwide. They provide end-to-end solutions and have a truly global reach, with operations in Germany, Belgium, Korea, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and more than fifteen states and 31 locations within CONUS. AITC is dedicated to serving the federal government and the Department of Defense (DoD) with their comprehensive IT and Training Solutions Systems Integrator.
As AITC celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month, this special visit by distinguished guests highlights the company's commitment to excellence, innovation, and contribution to the defense and federal sectors. AITC's impressive journey and achievements serve as an inspiration to the Hispanic community and businesses around the world.
