Lombard Odier's Q3-Q4 2022 13F holdings: Significant changes in holdings for US Steel, Bausch Health, and Tesla.

As the third quarter of 2022 comes to a close, Lombard Odier Asset Management (USA) Corp has released its 13F holdings comparison report for Q3 and Q4 of 2022. The report details the changes in the fund's holdings, including the number of shares held, the value of those shares, and the percentage change from the previous quarter. Let's take a closer look at some of the significant changes.

The company that experienced the most significant shift in holdings for Lombard Odier was United States Steel Corp (X). The fund increased its holdings of X by 69.2%, with the number of shares held going from 3.8 million in Q3 to 4.65 million in Q4. The value of the X shares held also increased from $68,856,000 in Q3 to $116,482,000 in Q4.

The second biggest change in holdings was for Bausch Health Companies Inc (BHC). Lombard Odier increased its stake in BHC's put option from 5 million shares in Q3 to 10 million shares in Q4. The value of these shares also increased from $34,450,000 to $62,800,000, a jump of 82.3%.

The fund also made a significant increase in their holdings of shares in Tesla Inc (TSLA), with the number of call options held increasing from 105,000 to 440,000 in Q4, reflecting a rise of 94.6% quarter-over-quarter. The value of these shares held increased from $27,851,000 in Q3 to $54,199,000 in Q4.

Lombard Odier also experienced changes in their holdings of put options for Oracle Corp (ORCL) and Tenet Healthcare Corp (THC), with the number of shares held increasing by 1,400% and 325.7%, respectively. The value of these shares held also increased by 1855% and 325.7%, respectively.

On the other hand, the fund decreased their holdings of the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), which tracks the performance of small-cap stocks, by 21.7% in Q4, from 1.2 million shares in Q3 to 900,000 shares. The value of these shares also decreased from $200,378,000 in Q3 to $156,924,000 in Q4.

The fund also saw a significant decrease in their holdings of put options for the iShares China Large-Cap ETF (FXI), with the number of shares held falling by 45.3% from 2 million in Q3 to 1 million in Q4. The value of these shares held also decreased from $51,720,000 in Q3 to $28,300,000 in Q4.

In terms of percentage change, Lombard Odier experienced the most significant increase in their holdings of the Zillow Group Inc (Z) call option, with the number of shares held in Q4 rising by 400% from 100,000 in Q3 to 500,000 in Q4. The value of these shares held also jumped from $2,861,000 in Q3 to $16,105,000 in Q4, which reflects a massive percentage change of 562%.

Similarly, the fund saw a massive percentage increase of 636.3% in their holding of the ARK ETF TR. This came from 84,341 shares in Q3 to 750,000 shares in Q4, with the value of these shares held going from $3,182,000 in Q3 to $23,430,000 in Q4.

Overall, Lombard Odier Asset Management (USA) Corp made significant changes to its portfolio in the past quarter, with an increase in holdings on some companies while decreasing on some others.
